Today, most people just Google first and continue from there. So you say, “Well everyone in town already knows about my business”. Well what about that visitor from out of town who is passing through? The ease of using a mobile device such as a mobile phone is so amazing, new customers and visitors in your area can locate you instantly.

The world wide web also makes sharing information so easy. With most devices and websites, one person can share the link of a business to another person with just one click. Sure, someone may sit around at a dinner table and advise of what great service they had at your store but how can these same people tell their friends and families residing in other cities or countries the benefits of your store?

Some people still believe the old expression, that if you have a website, the customers will come. This is definitely not the case anymore. There are millions and millions of websites out there and just about the same selling or doing the same type of thing as you. You need to ensure your site is done properly and is optimized for Google and the other search engines so people can in fact find you. You need to stand out in the crowd and shine.
